Are you doing close grip (elbows brush ribs) or wide grip push ups?

Close grip (elbows brush ribs). Elbow pits forward. Lats fully engaged. Posterior chain engaged. Straight arms at top / chest and thighs touching at bottom. I was pretty pure on form but there was a wide range of what people were doing. If I were doing a push-up comp, I'd make them hand release push-ups which seem to be the most objective.

It was very different from last year because I had no context last year. Vaguely guessed 300-600. I went out too hot (sets of 15 each minute) and crashed to 10s. This year I had much more of a plan and now am on a trajectory to >1,000. It was fun, mostly fun to be out of the house!
