Excellent, as usual, Chris. And the excerpt at the beginning is very good. As with so many things of nature (human and otherwise), the thing to overcome is oneself.

HI. Thank you for your posts, quite inspiring. Had to make a comment about bee pollen! It is the most efficient natural supplement one can have, I eat it daily for ages.

Great to hear and thanks for the comment. I don't mind the flavor and like the texture in shakes; if there's upside that, then great. But it is probably at worst harmless so I'm happy to experiment with it. Also, the honey/pollen business is so good for the environment as bees are great for flora generally so I'm happy to subsidize it a bit.

In general, I hate spending money, however I have the same somewhat positive feelings about spending money at the farmers' markets.

I have been taking bee pollen for about a month. I like the slightly sweet taste but have not noticed having more energy.

My upcoming 50k is the Marine Corps and all pavement. Depending on how I like ultra running I may start looking at these ultra trail races. The idea of staying on softer ground is appealing. The downside is that I am a huge klutz....

So nice of you to clear the trails. We had a big storm last night and some cyclists were out with their saws this morning.

I'm a huge klutz too when it comes to rocky trails especially on steep downhills. I have to just take it at the pace I can manage and am endlessly impressed/baffled by the people who can just launch themselves down technical trails.
