The legs/lower body thing is so important, and not instantly intuitive.

I'm a big baseball fan, and when you look for guys with big power, they all have serious leg power

Boxing is a beast. Nothing more humbling than being in the ring with someone much smaller who is destroying you because they are technical as hell...telegraphed haymakers work against untrained people but sadly not effective in the ring.

Best boxer I know was an ex-gold gloves guy who is an out of shape 40-something year old but throws a pristine straight that alsways lands on the button. We were out one night and one of our friends got into it with some MC guys and saw this guy throw 5 punches and put 5 people out before anyone knew what happened.

In short - drill technique and have a little speed and power and you are on another level most people can't even fathom.
