Are there any other rowers you recommend, or any you recommend against? I'm going to buy one soon but haven't used one in a long time, and am seeking out all advice prior to purchase. I thought I had seen you previously mention (and picture) a wood model a few years ago (on STW), but after searching I am unable to find the reference. The Concept2 is my lead option at this point based on several high quality sources. Thanks - and appreciate your efforts on both Vale Tudo and Sifting the World...
You won't be disappointed with the Concept2. It is what everyone at CrossFit and Gym Jones use. I also own this https://amzn.to/3zuNws8 because it is beautiful, stores vertically, and I like the water feel and sound. But I managed to explode the water tank when I tried to do a 7 min 2k and pulled hard when the clock started. I mentioned it here https://bit.ly/3248UnE.
A colleague of mine who was a very competitive college rower offered the best way to train for a 2k: 8 sets of 500m at your target 2k pace; 3:30 of rest between each set.

I have a concept rower and an echo bike. If I had to have only one of the two, I'd choose the echo bike.
