I'm sorry to hear about your knee injury and hope the recovery is going well. The sabering is great -- I have a friend who always does that for birthday celebrations and it's such a fun thing to do for a party!

Sorry to hear about your injury. Injuries are the worst. The worst. I try to embrace the philosophy of some athletes I admire, something to the effect of "I've learned so much from every injury" or whatever, but it is hard. I hope you recover soon. Also... selfishly, I hope this leads to a little extra Vale Tudo writing.

Best,

Chris

You make sabrage sound easy. Ordered it in Vegas last year and the sommelier studied the bottle a long time and was visibly nervous. It was a fairly expensive bottle so that may have added to his anxiety, but it looked to be his first time. I’ll have to try with the cheaper Prosecco. Pirate life!!!

Confidence is the key. You just gotta go for it. At one family party, I made the ill-advised decision to try it out with my mom watching. She was obviously not impressed by this idea and I got a bit nervous and sorta half swung, shattering the entire bottle everywhere. But a clean, deliberate swing works every time.

What is the rowing machine you like? I remember reading it, but now I can't find it. Thanks!
